POCKET JOURNALS AND SKETCHBOOKS

Do you need a pocket journal to take notes at the Wisconsin Book Festival? Why not make one! In this class you will learn non-adhesive binding techniques using soft-sided paper covers, colorful thread, foldouts, envelopes, and closures. BASIC PAPERMAKING
Instructor: Barbara MacCrimmon

Papermaking is a totally engaging process. Enjoy the pleasure of making beautiful handmade paper. In this class you will pull a number of different colored sheets of paper with 3 colors of cotton pulps prepared in the Hollander Beater. NATURE PAPER WORKSHOP
Instructor: Nancee Wipperfurth Killoran
Friday, October 27, 1pm to 5:30pm and Saturday, Oct 28, 10am - 4pm

Did you know that plant materials make beautiful paper? Come to WCBPA for this 2 day workshop and make paper from such natural fibers as cornhusk, cattail, daylily and straw. Casual clothes and waterproof shoes are recommended for all papermaking workshops.
For all-day workshops, a lunch break is scheduled. You are welcome to bring a bag lunch or dine at one of the nearby restaurants.
All classes are held at Wisconsin Center for Book and Paper Arts, 811 Williamson St., Madison, unless otherwise noted.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS ONE WEEK PRIOR TO WORKSHOP.
Full refund is given if cancellation is received at least one week in advance. One-half refund is given if cancellation is received three days prior to workshop, and no refund is given if less than three days.
Maximum enrollment is 10 students unless otherwise specified. WCBPA reserves the right to cancel workshops due to low enrollment. You will be notified if a workshop is cancelled.
